The very first poem I ever wrote was this:

The rumple in the garden means

the footstep I took

to smell a rose.

I was in kindergarten.

Over the next 45 years, I became a produced playwright, a published author, a scriptwriter, and an award-winning poet. Like many aspiring writers, I also held down full-time jobs. My first job as a receptionist led to administrative, project coordinator, and management positions, always with an eye on creativity. Eventually I found my way to marketing, communications, web production, and content management.

Years of work in corporations, film and television, nonprofits, hospitals, luxury travel, and local governments have gifted me with a wide range of professional experience many writers and editors lack.
